Important English words meanings with synonyms

Imminent-     about to happen , synonyms- close (at hand) near (fast) approaching

Confront -     meet (someone) face to face with hostile or argumentative intent

Emphasized-  give special importance or prominence to (something) in speaking or writing

                     synonyms- focus, draw attention, point.


Exaggeration - a statement that represents something as better or worse than it really is.

                     synonyms- elaboration, magnification


Apprehension-  anxiety or fear that something bad or unpleasant will happen 

                      synonyms - Tension, Nervousness

Venal-  showing or motivated by susceptibility to bribery

           synonyms- bribable, corrupt, dishonest

Mitigate - make less severe, serious, or painful.
